Chronic Illness Management
Many dogs and cats can develop the same illnesses as people.
Diabetes, hypothyroidism, hyperthyroidism, Addison's disease (hypoadrenocorticism), Cushing's disease (hyperadrenocorticism), heart disease (such as congestive heart failure), allergies, asthma, seizures and arthritis are all examples of illnesses that require ongoing management once diagnosed.
Diagnosis & Management of Disease
Initially there may be a period of determining the right medication and dose of medication, then longer periods of management unless the clinical signs change. All the illnesses listed above are typically lifelong once they are diagnosed in your pet. Many require periodic bloodwork to manage medication dosing or safety.
At-Home Veterinary Care
Dr. Haight and Team provide vet care in the comfort of your home. Many cats are quite stressed by visits to the vet clinic, and this can compromise their symptoms and, sometimes, their bloodwork. At-home veterinary care reduces this stress, and can provide more accurate analysis of management of disease.
