To Our Wonderful Clients:

We started My Pet's Mobile Vet in October, 2012. It has been more rewarding and fulfilling for me than I ever dreamed. Getting to know you, your pets, your families - all of it has brought me such great happiness and joy. I am so fortunate to work in a profession that values the relationships we foster - with you, with our lovely patients - and with my amazing staff (you know I love my girls)!

As hard as it is to make this decision, I have decided to retire the mobile practice at the end of this year. My staff can tell you - it has not been an easy decision. I LOVE my work! It's really not work - it's an honor to be a veterinarian and have the opportunity to care for your pets. And I am blessed with clients that feel their pets are part of their family - just like it is for me.

But it's time for me to have more time with George (so many of you have met my husband, or know him well thru me!), with our family - and even for myself. George has been incredibly supportive all these years, he's not pushing for my retirement at all - but he understands it's time for me. Now we'll be one of those couples that finds out how it is to spend a LOT of time together every day! I think we'll do just fine :)

In the process of making this decision - an opportunity to “bridge” into retirement has come along, as well. Dr. Holly Marrinson is a veterinarian I worked with at Crabapple Knoll for many years before starting my mobile practice. Many of you may know her from that time. She's now living her dream of building her own veterinary practice and has offered me the chance to work part time with her when it opens (planned for March, 2026). I am so excited to be a part of her team! The name of her clinic is Maple Ridge Animal Hospital and she does have a FB page for the clinic - everyone can follow along with the construction and plans for the grand opening! It is located on Highway 140 between Crabapple and Hickory Flat. Working with Dr. Marrinson is exactly what I needed to help me make the decision to transition from a more full time work load to some modified version of retirement. And I hope that many of you will come see us at Maple Ridge for ongoing veterinary care!

I realize that for many of you, having a mobile practice that comes to your home is really what you need. Whether it's difficult for you to take your pet in to a clinic, or your pet doesn't love cars or clinics, or you have a large number of pets - mobile may be the best option for you. I have talked with Vets Off Leash - a mobile practice that services a large area, including Roswell and Alpharetta. They have a wonderful website, and all my conversations and emails with them have been great. We have clients that have seen them already and they have been very pleased. It seems like they work very similar to how we do - so that may be a good option for you if continuing with a “house call” veterinary group is what you need.

Crabapple Knoll Veterinary Clinic is always there for you - many of you are mutual clients of mine and Crabapple Knoll. They do a great job and have wonderful hours, including weekends! And many of you live near excellent veterinary clinics that may be the most convenient option for you.

We will be sending you your vaccine info for your pets, as well as medical records in early 2026. In the meantime, my phone number won't be changing and if you need anything in the middle, please reach out.

Thank you for being a part of my dream - and making our days so happy - bringing joy, laughter, hugs and tears as we have gotten to know each other over the years. It has been our honor to be a part of your lives and to be welcomed into your homes. We have so many treasured memories of time spent with you and your pets!
